Press release :
BEDYCASA AND LSF FRANCE CREATE BED AND LEARN AND LAUNCH A PLATFORM DEDICATED TO A NEW GENERATION OF LANGUAGE STAYS
Montpellier, 30 November 2017. Bedycasa, the pioneer of homestay bookings worldwide, and LSF France announce their joint-venture with a view to launching the BedyLingua platform with the aim of revolutionising language stays. BedyLingua is powered by the Bed and Learn company.
The offer / The solution. BedyLingua will propose a web-based platform where the internet user will connect to book a language stay combined with a local homestay. He will be able to perfect the language of his choice directly with the locals he is staying with (conversation) or, for more academic or professional purposes, take lessons in the best partner language schools or with fully-qualified native-speaker teachers. The families and schools will be ranked according to the reviews and scores given by the travelers. Accommodation will be in apartments or with host families.
A changing market. The language stay market is changing markedly and new requests are being made, particularly from working adults (+12% / year) as a result of retraining, seniors or whole families. The share of accommodation in this market represents a turnover of around $11 billion. Moreover, requests in the language stay field are becoming more and more personalised.
‘Given our experience in the collaborative economy and thanks to the educational expertise and support of LSF France, Bed and Learn is fully equiped to meet the challenge of revolutionising language stays’ announced Magali Boisseau-Becerril, founder of BedyCasa and manager of Bed and Learn. Marc Lavigne Delville, CEO of LSF France and President of Bed and Learn confirmed that ‘this joint-venture is a major step for LSF France whose ambition is to reinforce its position in the market, to adapt to future evolutions in this changing sector and finally to shine in fields which are complementary to its historic activity’.
